Trip to Grandma's House

In Memory

In Memory of Joey's Grandmother... (The kids' Great-Grandmother.) She went to be with the Lord on March 20th. We loved her dearly, she and Granddaddy were so kind to welcome me to the family with open arms and called me "Granddaughter". I once heard in a movie that a lady is one who always makes sure those around her are comfortable... she was the epitome of a "lady".
This was the first time that Reilly has experienced loss, and it was so difficult to tell him that sad news. It took a minute to sink in, then we all cried together. Then, he said that he wished there were phones in heaven so that he could talk to Grandmother. Talk about break your heart. We are so glad that Reilly was able to really know her, and experience how much she cherished him. Here are some of our favorite photos of Reilly with sweet Zelma Pearl...

And here's one with Avery...

"Sheriff Reilly Reporting For Duty!"
Monday was Aunt Honey's day off, so she decided to take Reilly on a date! Reilly was SO excited when he found out she was taking him to the Fort Worth Stockyards!! When they got home, he announced "Sheriff Reilly reporting for duty!!" He was wearing a real cowboy hat, and had the cutest wooden pop gun. He then told me ALL about his day. "I got to ride a horse, meet a real Indian, saw real Longhorns on a cattle drive, then I ate a grilled cheese sandwich on COWBOY bread... CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?" He and his Aunt Honey are quite a pair, and have so much fun together!!!
