Friends

My best friend from high school, Teri, and her sweet husband Beecher and son Braxton came into town this weekend from California for a visit! We met them at the Parks Mall on Sunday, and the boys had a great time!


Reilly played in the soft play area, but it was a little too crazy in there for 18 month old Braxton.










They both rode the carousel, and were delighted! Reilly chose a tiger to ride on instead of a horse, which he thought was the coolest thing ever! Braxton just loved the camera, and was smiling every time I tried to take his picture!



It's always so great to see them, but the visits are never long enough! Have a safe trip home guys, we love y'all!

Mav's Game

Thursday night, Joey & I went to the last pre-season Mavericks Game. (Thanks Mikey & Honey for the tickets!!) I was excited, since this was my very first pro-basketball game. B U T.... once we got there, I just couldn't get past the "sweat-wiper-upper girls". If you haven't attended a game, let me enlighten you: There are girls (sometimes guys) who sit right at the edge of the court, ready and waiting with their special sweat mops, and when the players run down to the other side of the court... they feverishly scrub up the sweat that has dripped onto the floor. YUCK. There's a job for you, and they probably don't even get paid. Imagine... being so excited about wiping bodily fluids off the floor.


I don't care WHO the sweat belongs to... DIRK NOWITZKI... it made me gag. But, we did get to see ourselves on the big screen, which was pretty cool! Anyway, the Mavs lost- mainly due to a bunch of missed shots. (We got to "BOO!" a lot, which Joey and I really enjoy!!) I think if I watch any more Mavericks games, it will be on T.V. And as for live sporting events, I think I'll stick with football, baseball, and hockey from now on. (So I don't have to SEE evidence of their exertion on the floor.)

The Baby Shower

Well, let me just start by saying A-MAZING! Kristina, Keri & Jessica gave me the most beautiful baby shower I have ever seen! Those lovely ladies put so much thought and effort into every detail, and I love and appreciate them more than I can ever say. Thank you for using your unique talents and creativity for me, it truly was like a dream come true! I was so happy to see every sweet face that arrived, and am so grateful for their immense generosity. To all of you who came: thank you so much for being a part of this special day (some drove an hour or more!) ... and thank you for loving our sweet baby girl. We are truly BLESSED!

Boy's Day

Well... I have been very privileged this week to be one of the few females to witness "Boys Only Day". (Reilly says NO girls allowed... except Mommy.) My two males thoroughly enjoyed their outdoor time together this particular day, because Reilly invented a brand new game, dubbed: "TRUCK-sketball". The object of this game is to drive your truck down the sidewalk, ball in hand and try to make a shot while still driving. Yes Yes I know, he has mad skills. :) So, I wouldn't recommend trying this without a professional.

After their fun new game, they went for a leisurely bike ride.

Mikey Got Married!!

Well, I've decided that my very first post will be my precious little brother, Mikey's, wedding! He married the sweetest, loveliest woman on the planet, and I couldn't be more thrilled. They got married on Saturday, September 27th, and my little Reilly Dean was the most handsome ringbearer EVER! He did a great job! Although, he did have a little trouble when one of the flower girls dropped her flower basket and petals fell all over the floor. He said, " that's not okay! Who is going to pick those up!?" And then, he hid around a small corner during the ceremony while making funny faces and gestures at the bride and groom. All in all, it was a fabulous day, and was very special for us all.
