A Visit To Grandma's

We went to Grandma's house the day after Christmas, but she became ill and had to go to the hospital. She's doing better now, but is still in the hospital being treated for a staph infection. While we were there, there wasn't much to do except take pictures, so here is just a portion of the tons I took!

Playing cards is a good way to pass the time, I suppose.

And watching a little TV....

And a little dancing....

And last but not least, a little bit of snuggling...

Our prayers are with you Grandma, and we hope you get to come home soon!!!!

Avery's First Cry

Another amazing photo op: Up until this exact point, Avery's crying has been without actual tears. It was so precious to be able to capture them...

Playing With The New Camera

Avery agreed to be my first test subject...

The famous "Avery shrug"

Then Reilly joined in...

I never would have been able to catch all these kisses with my old camera...

He's so adorable with his 2 missing teeth!!!

I seem to have taken over 100 pictures in a span of about 20 minutes, so I think this could be trouble. ;)

Christmas Day- Part 2

After everyone finished opening their presents at Mimi & Grandpa's, Joey brought out another one for me.

I was intrigued, since I had already opened all my gifts from him. I was surprised to find a snow globe, and inside... "January 3-6" hand written in calligraphy. I was confused, so I turned it over...and the other side read "New York City" !!!!! It took me a minute to process that, before I began to sob like a fool. I have always wanted to go to New York, especially in winter. As if that wasn't enough, then my amazing husband pulled something from behind his back. He said, "Well, you're going to need a good camera to take pictures of our New York adventures..." And my eyes focused in on his second gift, it was the camera I have wanted forever. A Canon EOS Rebel XSi. And then... the ugly cry. Oh yes, I did. Couldn't help myself.

That man has made it his personal mission to check off every single thing on my list of dreams. And, he's well on his way. (And that's not even counting the time he took me to Italy for our Honeymoon, or when he brought home a black Ford Expedition with a big silver bow on top for me when I was pregnant with Avery.)

I am amazed that Joey loves me as much as he does, and that it makes him truly happy to make my dreams come true. I thank God for him, and for this special time!! Merry Christmas indeed!!!

Christmas Day- Part 1

After Christmas morning at our house, it was on to Mimi & Grandpa's! Uncle Mike & Aunt Honey were there too!! It was great fun watching Grandpa open his Kindle- since he had NO idea we would actually get it for him!! And we had a special guest this year, my Mom's brother Delmer! He's a hoot! :) My Mom enjoyed using her new SLAPCHOP to make her famous stuffing, which was AMAZING! Uncle Mike and Aunt Honey LOVED their Longhorn cups that Reilly picked out for them, and the kids were so excited about all their new loot!

And here are a few taken with Aunt Honey's camera...

From My Boy

Reilly & Joey brought these lovely things back for me after one of their outings. It was all Reilly's idea to bring flowers, and Joey's contribution was a chocolate shake from Chick-Fil-A. I LOVE that my boys are this thoughtful and sweet!!!

Just Playin'

Just some fun pictures of the babies doing what they do best!!!

And this last one is just for Mimi!! :)
