Avery is 13 Months Old

We actually meant to do this closer to her 1st Birthday, but better late than never! I wanted Avery to have a special birthday picture tradition, like Reilly does every year on his birthday- while wearing one of Joey's white button-down shirts. (Here is the pic from Reilly's 1st Bday, for those who are new to The Reagan Report.)

So, we put my favorite dress on Avery for a few pictures, and will do so on every birthday... just to see how much she's grown. :) ENJOY!

Not sure why standing in that grass upset her so much...

Daddy to the rescue...

Do you see how she is grabbing onto his shirt?! That just gets me!!!

And here's one of my handsome husband, the amazing father of my children- just because I'm so glad he's ours.

Extreme Skinny-Dipping

Not quite sure where he got the idea, but Reilly told us that he could totally handle the icy cold water in Nana & Granddad's pool. So, he threw in a couple of dive sticks, threw off his pants and then stepped in up to his ankles to retrieve them. After having no trouble with that, he got a little cocky. He decided that he was definitely tough enough to handle that frigid water, so he stripped down and DOVE in. And THEN... I'd never seen anyone move faster. He streaked up and out of that water in a flash. I took some video, but since he was skinny-dippin' I won't post it. Such a shame. Oh well... here are the pics though!

This confirms my theory that boys are a completely different species. I have to admit though, that I haven't laughed that hard in a while. :)

Toddler?

Okay, this girl is starting to look more TODDLER and less BABY every. single. day. SLOW DOWN!

Oh, and she's a big fan of my cell phone.

Looks like she's off to run some errands, doesn't it!?

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

Reilly & I went on a date to the Casa Manana Theater to see "Santa Claus is Coming To Town!" It was great! Reilly was SO excited, and smiled through the entire thing. Our favorite part was when it SNOWED inside the theater!!! We sang all the way home in the car!

Malt-O-Meal

Reilly had his very first experience with a family favorite... Malt-O-Meal!! My Momma used to make it for me on cold mornings, from the time I was a toddler and all the way through high school. I thought I should continue the tradition with my sweet babies. Avery LOVES it, and Reilly liked the first few bites, but then changed his mind completely. I suppose there just wasn't enough sugar... and I'm not quite sure if I want to remedy that. I don't want to create a monster.

Big Girl Car Seat

Avery loves her new big girl car seat!! She looks so tiny in it!!

20 Degrees

I have to admit, I LOVE when it gets cold around here!! I love bundling up the kids in all their winter gear. So fun!

Reilly helped me put on Avery's hat & mittens...

Yes, I'll enjoy this for a whole 36 hours or so- until our crazy Texas weather pulls a fast one on me, and it turns 70 degrees again.

Her Favorite Book...

Daddy loves to read to Avery, especially her favorite book: "I Love You Through & Through". She says "BOOK!" and chooses that specific book from her bookshelf every time.

Grandma's 90th Birthday

Last weekend was Grandma's 90th Birthday Celebration, and she had a great time! She got to visit with so many sweet friends, and was just tickled to be surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. It was a lovely weekend, and it was wonderful to celebrate such an amazing woman, and the legacy she has created.

Happy Happy Birthday, Grandma!! You are so loved!

A Real Reindeer !!!

During one of our recent Christmas shopping trips, we stumbled upon a real reindeer outside a toy shop!!! Reilly ran to it as fast as his little legs could carry him, but Avery didn't appear all that impressed.

With a little fun at McDonald's afterward = one great day!

My Best Birthday EVER!!

So for starters, my Mom and Mikey & Honey took the kids and I to lunch at one of my faves: Jason's Deli. Then, the party was later that night.

I informed my husband many months ago, that all I wanted to do for my birthday was to go see Twilight: New Moon (since it was coming to theaters 4 days before my birthday). Then he, along with my sweet sister-in-law and brother, threw me the most amazing birthday party that I have ever seen or heard of!!! We all met up at the Colleyville Cinema Grille and might have enjoyed an adult beverage before the movie started. *wink wink* The 15 of us had an entire theater practically to ourselves (luckily my birthday fell on a Tuesday this year). The food was excellent, and the company was even better. The movie was A M A Z I N G. And we didn't even have to squish into a packed theater with 10 thousand screeching teenage girls. Everyone was so generous and fun, it was just the best night. Thank you thank you thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Now, just to wait the 6 or so months until Eclipse!!!!!
