This is a PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Always always look inside the oven before you preheat.
You can imagine my shock when (after preheating) I opened the oven to put dinner in, and discovered these sad little melted things.
Avery had no idea what would happen when she put her play cupcakes in Mommy's real oven. I grabbed an oven mitt & threw them outside because all I was thinking was "TOXIC FUMES!!" Avery said "I'm so sad about my cupcakes, Mommy."
I just don't think she'll ever do that again, and I've learned a valuable lesson as well. I'm going to choose to think of this as a Win-Win.
