June 10, 2010 marked our 10th Wedding Anniversary and also a fabulous, fantastic, romantic getaway weekend !!!
We revel in our traditions, so of course this weekend was full of them! We've gone back to stay at "our hotel" for almost every Anniversary. (That would be the hotel we stayed in for our Wedding night all those years ago.) My sweet Mom & Dad were so great to keep the kids for us by the way! We ordered a cake to commemorate the occasion, but then again- we always take cake with us on our Anniversary... since we took Wedding cake and chocolate-covered strawberries with us on our Wedding night. We also always take our Unity Candle with us too, so it's been lit on each and every Anniversary. (Told ya, FULL of traditions!!)
We enjoyed an amazing, romantic dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, followed by some silliness at Pete's Dueling Piano Bar, along with a stroll through downtown Fort Worth. I can't fully convey how much I enjoy being Joey's wife. To still be head- over-heels in love, to still make people gag with our lovey-dovey behavior, and still laugh till my cheeks hurt whenever we go out together is a blessing beyond measure.
The following day was filled with great food, and great shopping! I found the perfect wedding dress to wear for our Vow Renewal in Maui next month!!
Talk about a picture-perfect weekend... Honey was so sweet to come take some pictures for us at the hotel. (Those definitely deserve their own post! Stay tuned!)
It really doesn't seem like 10 years, but we'll take it!!
