This past weekend, we traveled Southeast about an hour to a charming (but HUGE ) retreat house for a Family Reunion with Joey's Mom's side of the family. We hadn't seen everyone since Grandma's funeral last February, and it was so wonderful to catch up with everyone. There was great food, and lots of fun and games. The kids had a great time, since Reilly has a cousin around his age to play with- and now so does Avery!
It was such a blessing to have so much space to relax and play in, especially with so many people! The living areas and kitchen were huge, and each family had their own suite- complete with bathroom! Not so in Grandma's house, where we used to get together and all share 2 bathrooms!!! Even so, we still kinda missed that place and thought of Grandma bunches. We enjoyed some of her famous recipes, and talked of some favorite memories. It was a precious time together with such sweet family, everyone is so loving and generous... especially with their delicious pumpkin spice coffee (THANK YOU AUNT JUDY!!!) It was a joy to see them all again, and now we can't wait for next year's Reunion!!
And, super job Billy & Wanda on the planning & hosting of this event!!!
